Your accommodation will consist of a double bedroom with a private shower room. You will have a colour television, coffee and tea making facilities, and a small fridge. The room rate is £60 per night with two people sharing. This is inclusive of a full English breakfast served at a time convenient to you. You can look at the accommodation by clicking on photo-gallery.
Ellangowan has Wireless Broadband so you can access your E mail or simply surf from your laptop in your room.

Ellangowan is in the National Park and ten minutes walk from the centre of Pooley Bridge, which is situated at the Eastern end of Ullswater.
Pooley Bridge is a busy village with three pubs, a post office and several shops. Ellangowan is five miles from Penrith with easy access to the M6. It is a perfect centre from which to explore the Lake District and the secluded Eden Valley.

Here is how to reach Ellangowan

From the north on the M6
Leave the M6 at junction 40. Take the second exit on the roundabout marked A66 Brough. At the next roundabout take the 4th exit marked A6 Shap. After 1/4 mile take the second right marked B5320 Pooley bridge. Stay on this road for 4 miles. Ellangowan is a white house on the right hand side of the road with 4 bay windows at the front. We are 1/2 mile before you reach the village of Pooley Bridge. There is a map in "Photo Gallery".

From the south on the M6

From the East on the A66
At the roundabout on the south edge of Penrith take the 1st exit marked A6 Shap. After 1/4 mile take the second right marked B5320 Pooley bridge. Stay on this road for 4 miles. Ellangowan is a white house on the right hand side of the road with 4 bay windows at the front. We are 1/2 mile before you reach the village of Pooley Bridge. There is a map in "Photo Gallery".

From Pooley Bridge
Take the B5320 marked Eamont Bridge. Go up the hill and Ellangowan is 1/2 mile from the village on the left hand side. It is a white house with 4 bay windows at the front. Look at the map in "Photo Gallery".
